Manor House Restaurant

The Manor House was originally built in 1837 by William Cleghorn, a gentleman farmer from Scotland. He and his family lived in the home for many years, farming corn, cotton and other local crops. Over time, the 2000 acre plantation was sold off in small pieces to local farmers and residents.

In 1970, the family built the Cleghorn Golf Course using George Cobb as the architect. Mr. Cobb assisted in the design of well over 100 courses including Augusta National and East Lake GC among others.
