Manor House Restaurant
The Manor House was originally built in 1837 by William Cleghorn, a gentleman farmer from Scotland. He and his family lived in the home for many years, farming corn, cotton and other local crops. Over time, the 2000 acre plantation was sold off in small pieces to local farmers and residents.
In 1970, the family built the Cleghorn Golf Course using George Cobb as the architect. Mr. Cobb assisted in the design of well over 100 courses including Augusta National and East Lake GC among others.
In 2010, the Manor House will be completely restored and offer the following:
- Fine dining featuring southern, cajun, and creole cooking.
- Lunch and dinner will be served daily.
- Extensive wine cellar with wines from California, Europe and Australia.
- Banquet and wedding facilities will accommodate 100 guests.
- Corporate and private meeting facilities will accommodate 100 guests.
- Bar & Grill will feature 12 flat screen tv's showing numerous sports events.
- Full Swing Golf Simulator will get you on Pebble Beach rain or shine.
Cleghorn Plantation Manor House will be a unique and special club house and social center for families and friends. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner or your special occasion.
